Kaneohe Air Show

Yesterday, my awesome friend Lisa, her two boys, and I went up towards the North Shore to the Marine Core Base to see the Air Show!  I was beyond excited!  For those of you who don't know, I LOVE planes!  So what's better than an air show?!?  I was also VERY excited because I haven't been to an air show in a looooong time.

Our first stop were the cargo planes

A plane from the Pacific Aviation Museum
(you saw some pic from there in a previous post)

Whoa, talk about bringing out the big guns!

This is Lisa's son, Caleb, we had a hay day checking out everything!

Lisa's youngest boy, Kyllian, helping Caleb shoot!

SO CUTE!!!

He's already a pro!

Look! That tire is as big as Caleb!

Kyllian didn't want to get down!  He was all about driving that huge truck! lol

In a tank!  So cool!

Mid air refueling

Getting strapped into the 'Kopter

Navy Firemen??? Dangerous ;)

Fire Marshall Caleb making sure all the equipment works!

F-22 Raptor

Looking at the inner workings of a helicopter

Lisa looks super cute!  Too bad no one else was interested in taking a pic.

Strafing run!

Probably the COOLEST picture I got!  We definitely felt the heat from that!

The smoke afterwards (I think it looks kind like jelly fish lol)

Navy Seals skydiving

Floating down to the ground

He's wants to get out there and fly some planes!

In the cockpit!

This truck was INSANE!  It had jet engines on the back and would race planes as they flew above!  If I drove that truck, I'd need an adult diaper!

This guy was part of a group of skydivers called The Flying Leathernecks.

The biggest bummer was that we didn't get to see the Blue Angels perform :(  But we got there at 9:30 am and left at 2:30 pm.  That's quite a long day for anyone in the hot sun, especially little kiddos.  Even though we didn't get to see the awesomeness that is the Blue Angels, we still had a SUPER fun time!!!  So glad we went! :D

I hope there is another air show again soon!
