Gone Fishing...

So my very awesome friend Michelle called me yesterday morning and said she had the urge to fish and did I wanna come? I said, "YOU BETCHA!"  We got all the stuff together and went to the pier at North Island of Naval Station Coronado.  It went back and forth from cloudy and sunny and boy that wind was CHILLY!  But we had a GREAT time!  Here are the pics!  :)

What!?!  This isn't a Halibut!  Apparently the octopus thought that fishing lurer looked yummy! lol

I GOT ONE!!!   Caught my first halibut!  Too bad it was too small.  It needs to be about double that size.  This one is about 12 inches and for us to take it home to enjoy, it needs to be about 22 inches.

Michelle caught this one about 5 minutes after I threw mine back.  ... We think it was the same fish! lol  We were thinking that because of the scales at the tail where I was holding it.  

Here's Michelle throwing it back!  If it's any consolation, there were at least 6 guys out there with us and they didn't catch ANYTHING!

We had a great time, even though we didn't get anything and it was cold!  I can't wait to go again!  I KNOW we'll have better luck next time!  :)
