Easter Egg Love Hunt...

I was shopping at the store this week and eyed all the delicious candy parading itself around the shelves.  And I thought to myself, "Self, I would like to eat some of these candies!"  So I picked up some peeps, my ultimate favorite, and some Robin's Eggs.  Then I said to myself again, "Well Self, I don't want to be greedy and get all the goodies for just me!  Maybe I should get something for the hubby as well."  My hubby does not like candy, but he does like mini Snickers (only mini though, he won't eat a whole Snickers, lol silly boy).  So I saw some and got them.  

As I continued along the store, saw the beautifully bright colored plastic eggs and I had a great idea!  I am going to buy some and along with little mini Snickers, place little love notes in them and hide them around the house for Rob!  

Here's how I did it :)

I got some festive yellow paper and my trusty straight paper cutter!  I cut, in half, six strips of paper.  

On the remaining paper, I wrote a little note to the hubby.  I told him that I am very grateful for the Easter season, and I am grateful for the blessings that the death and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, has brought us.  I am also grateful for everything that my husband does for me.   

On the 12 strips of paper I wrote 12 reasons why I am grateful for him.

I place one strip of paper and one candy in each egg.

Then hid them in various places around the house.  

This was my favorite spot! lol  Those of you that know Rob, know that he LIVES for Dr. Pepper... so I knew he'd find this one! :)

I left the note where he was sure to see it and went to bed.

The next morning (Saturday, I did it then as to not detract from the specialness of Sunday) I pretended to be asleep as he got up, found the note, and hunted his way around the house looking for my love notes!  

He woke me up, was very grateful, and then proceeded to eat Snickers for breakfast!  HAHAHA
