Pausing for love...

So, I'm taking a little break from my Hawaiian Adventures posts.  But have no fear, some great friends are flying in later today, so I will have lots to blog about then!

So, I'm sure all of you are familiar with Pinterest and it's just ME that's behind the times, but if you are not familiar with it, ooooh boy!  You've just been introduced to your NEW obsession and a fantastic way to pass the time!  I've heard a lot of people talk about it, but it wasn't until just recently that I decided to check it out.  I fell in love immediately!

Out of MILLIONS of fun and crafty ideas I can't wait to try, this one I picked to do first...  

This is the example on pinterest.  You take the picture from your first dance at your wedding reception and frame it.  On the matte around the picture, you write out the lyrics to the song you and your spouse danced to!

I promptly went to Target and purchased this frame.  I was quite tempted to go with plain black (like the rest of the frames on my wall), but I loved that the little bit of red that would make this stand out.

So, I took out the matte and my handy ultra fine point Sharpie and went to work.  The song that Rob and I danced to for the first time as husband and wife was Tony Bennett's version of "The Way You Look Tonight".  If you'd like to listen to it, just click here :D

I was able to fit it twice on the matte.

Here it is framed!  Now, onto the important part... the picture...

So, I went through my wedding photos and found our first dance picture. I decided, I didn't want to use the original, so I did some editing...

This is the 'Antique' version...

Classic 'Black and White' version...

And 'Faded Color' version...

I asked several awesome friends which one they liked better, but finally it came down to which the hubby liked best (since he's the pickiest - I would of done it as a surprise, but like I said, he's picky).

And he decided on...

Classic Black and White!  Aw, my honey and I are suckers for the simple classics!  

Here it is framed and hanging on my wall!  I love it!  And I love him too!
